GBE-2 Expectations

This is my entry in the GBE-2 sponsored by my friend "The Word Nerd". Each week she posts a one word topic and those of us that want to write a blog on what the subject means to us!

  This weeks topic is "Expectations"!

If you have seen my profile you know that I'm a pretty old single man that lives with his daughter and grandchildren. I really don't think I have a lot of "Expectations". At least none that are unreasonable.

Life has presented me with many wonders as well as a few tribulations so I have learned to just roll with what ever comes my way. Good, Bad or whatever is thrown my way has to be dealt with, so I do!

I no longer have a career to worry about.

My kids are raised so parenting duties are over.

I don't gamble at casinos anymore, with all those "Expectations".

However, I do have the "Expectation" of being read in this new GBE-2

I hope you enjoyed my thoughts and come back to read again.

If you like writing, I recommend this group. Many are good friends and all are writers.

  Thank you for stopping by!

  2. Well done, Gary! I'm kind of the same way as I just take things as they come day by day. I used to have tons of expectations and goals and that more harm than good for me.

  26. I too live with one of my children, along with her husband and a couple of my grandchildren. Unlike you, though, I still have lots of expectations. Would love to feel as peaceful as you seem to be. Happy to have been part of your only expectations.

  27. What a sweet blog, Gary! I'll bet your grandkids just love having you so near. Take care!

  28. The nice thing about being in your situation Gary is that you ought to have time to make your own expectations. Time to find a new hobby, to write a book maybe, who knows.

  29. Haha - sounds like a reasonable expectation! Look forward to your next post.

  42. Dude, love that you think you have no real expectations! You expect a lot, I think. You know that your harem is following you and you expect us all to say, "Hey" after we read your offering. See? Secretly, I think your expectations include all the love we send you, too. You are just a top-notch man, communicator and friend. Love your brain!
